So after hearing plenty of comments like these we felt we should explain a few things... Especially since it took a few goes before we even got it ourselves! It really is quite simple:

1) Trail are rasing £20,000 toward recording the first album.
2) Fans and investors pre-buy a digital copy of the album with the purchase of a £5 "Back Stage Pass" from us at slicethepie.com. (see the how-to guide)
3) After 4,000 passes have been sold Trail have raised their money and can go and record!

The rest of the details of slicethepie is aimed at those who want to have some fun with their investment and make financial returns by buying and selling shares in Trail. Much like the stock market but more fun of course as it's music afterall.

So if you fancy yourself as a bit of a music-mogul and are up for making some money from Trail's future success then read on...

Shares (called "Contracts" on slicethepie.com)

Ok, so once Trail have raised the 20k for their album the investors who helped them by buying the Back Stage Passes in them can begin to buy shares or "contracts":

Each BSP held entitles the holder to purchase 4 shares (or "contracts" as slicethepie like to call them) in Trail.
Each contract costs you 10p
Example - if you buy 10 BSPs you will be entitled to buy up to 40 contracts - a further £4

Next Trail need to go on a world tour get three chart-topping radio hits, narrowly miss out on a Brit award (Who needs them anyway...) and two years later your contracts can be cashed in for real money. If Trail do as well as we all feel they could then you will make more than double your money. A lot more...
